International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women observed at One Stop Centre(South)

Namchi,28th November : One Stop Centre are intended to support women affected by violence in private as well as in public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace. Women facing physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse, irrespective of caste, age, class, religion, educational status, marital status, race and culture will be felicitate with support and redressal. The OSC are integrated with 181-WHL and the women affected by violence and in need of redressal services could be referred to OSC through these helpline.
The Main objective of One Stop Centre are:
i) To provide integrated support and assistance to women affected by violence, both in private and public spaces and ii)To facilitate immediate emergency and non-emergency access to a range of services including medical,legal,psychological and counselling support under one roof to fight against any forms of violence against women. The OSC are integrated with 181-WHL and the women affected by violence and in need of redressal services could be referred to OSC through these helplines.
The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women was observed at One Stop Centre(South) premises on 27th Nov 2021.They were provided awareness on the issues related to the safety and security of women and girls and the services they can access from the One Stop Centre. They were briefed about the Gender Based Violence and the other forms of violence related to women. The women’s were informed about the free legal aid services through SLSA/DSLA and other relevant legal provision for the protection of women.
